About the Role:-
- We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Executive to lead our Incoming Material Quality Control and Chemical Laboratory operations. In this role, you will ensure that all incoming raw and packaging materials meet quality and food safety requirements before production, while overseeing laboratory operations and leading a team of QA professionals.
- You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the implementation and maintenance of our laboratory quality management system.
Key Responsibilities:-
Incoming Material Quality Control
- Lead the inspection and verification of incoming raw materials and packaging materials to ensure compliance with specifications before production release
- Coordinate sampling plans, inspection activities, and material release decisions
- Work closely with Procurement and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Manage non-conforming materials, including quarantine, investigation, documentation, and disposition
Chemical Laboratory Management
- Supervise routine chemical analyses, including pH, Brix, acidity, protein, fat, total sugar, and other required tests
- Ensure laboratory testing is performed in accordance with approved methods and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure timely reporting of analytical results
- Oversee calibration, verification, maintenance of laboratory equipment, and management of laboratory consumables
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSC, ISO standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Coordinate the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the laboratory quality management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025
- Support internal and external audits, certification activities, and surveillance audits
- Monitor laboratory operating costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Drive quality improvements and achieve departmental KPIs through continuous improvement initiatives
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of five QA personnel responsible for incoming inspection and laboratory operation
- Plan work schedules, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Requirement:-
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the food manufacturing or related industry
- Hands-on experience in food safety programs, laboratory operations, and chemical testing
- Experience leading or supervising laboratory or QA personnel
- Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO/IEC
17025
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP),Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), HACCP, ISO/IEC 17025, FSSC Food Safety Management System
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment calibration and analytical testing techniques
