An established and rapidly growing global healthcare company is seeking an exceptional Country Business Leader to drive the next phase of growth across Australia and New Zealand.

This leadership opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially driven executive with a strong track record of building healthcare businesses, developing high-performing teams, and delivering sustainable growth within the medical device sector. Experience within diabetes care, glucose monitoring, or related chronic disease management markets will be highly advantageous.

Reporting to senior international leadership, you will be responsible for leading the ANZ business, accelerating new customer acquisition, strengthening distributor partnerships, and developing the commercial strategy required to establish a leading market position across the region.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a strategic thinker, proven people leader, and accomplished commercial operator who thrives in entrepreneurial, high-growth environments.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute the ANZ growth strategy to drive sustainable revenue and market share expansion.
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Build a robust commercial pipeline across key healthcare channels and customer segments.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that support long-term growth and market penetration.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, territory planning, and commercial performance management.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing commercial and clinical team.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor leaders and individual contributors to maximise performance and engagement.
  • Establish clear objectives, succession plans, and development pathways across the organisation.
  • Lead through growth, transformation, and organisational change.

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, industry stakeholders, and strategic accounts.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and executive-level customer engagements.
  • Drive customer-centric strategies that increase adoption, loyalty, and long-term partnerships.
  • Partner closely with clinical, market access, and customer support teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Strategic & Operational Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Clinical, Market Access, Customer Experience, and Operations.
  • Establish scalable processes and infrastructure to support future growth.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and healthcare trends to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, quality, and ethical requirements.
  • Partner closely with global leadership teams to align local execution with international objectives.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced healthcare leader with a demonstrated ability to deliver commercial success while building strong, engaged teams.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 10 years' leadership experience within medical devices, healthcare technology, life sciences, or related healthcare sectors.
  • Proven track record of driving significant business growth and market expansion.
  • Demonstrated success in winning new business and developing strategic commercial partnerships.
  • Strong experience leading distributor networks, including contract negotiations and channel management.
  • Experience leading national or regional commercial organisations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand as required.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within diabetes care, diabetes technology, glucose monitoring, endocrinology, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Experience launching, scaling, or transforming healthcare businesses.
  • Exposure to reimbursement, market access, or healthcare funding environments.
  • MBA or advanced business qualification.
