Spade is an early-stage AgTech company building financial and operational software for the dairy industry. We work closely with dairy farmers and cooperatives to help them manage their businesses more effectively — and our CSM team is the backbone of that relationship.

About the Role

We're looking for a Customer Success Manager who thrives in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment. You'll manage a portfolio of dairy and agricultural customers, drive adoption and retention, and serve as the expert bridge between our customers and our product and engineering teams. This is a foundational CSM role at a growing startup — you'll have real influence over how we build our customer success function.

Responsibilities

- Own a portfolio of accounts: health scores, QBRs, renewal calendars, and expansion opportunities

- Drive retention and renewals — track and improve churn, NPS, and customer satisfaction metrics

- Lead structured onboarding for new customers from kickoff through time-to-value

- Design and deliver training programs (materials, workshops, remote and on-site)

- Act as the voice of the customer internally, partnering with product and engineering to close feedback loops

- Maintain deep product knowledge and translate complex features for non-technical users

What We're Looking For

- 3–5+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or technical support in a SaaS company

- Documented track record of driving retention — renewal rates, NPS improvement, or churn reduction

- Technically fluent: comfortable learning and explaining cloud-based software to non-technical users

- Exceptional communicator with experience designing and delivering customer training

- Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, and commercial teams

- Comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build processes from scratch

Bonus Points

- Experience in AgTech, dairy, food supply chain, or adjacent industries

- Familiarity with SaaS metrics: ARR, churn, NRR, expansion revenue

- Professional-level Spanish
