Time & Focus Expectation

This role requires consistent, focused contribution alongside your existing work schedule. Expect approximately 20+ hrs/week.

Compensation Structure

• Early builder / equity partner role, compensated exclusively through equity participation during the initial phase.
• Salary eligibility begins once predefined revenue and/or fundraising milestones are achieved.
• Remote work, flexible scheduling, and access to internal programs, tools, and events.

Role Overview

As Director, Blockchain Assurance & Financial Controls, you serve as Anime Universe's independent assurance leader responsible for validating the integrity, reliability, security, and financial accuracy of our blockchain ecosystem, digital asset infrastructure, marketplace operations, creator economy systems, treasury activities, and financial reporting controls.

You will operate as a critical line of defense between Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Executive Leadership, and the Board.

Your mission is simple:

Ensure that every transaction, asset movement, creator payout, treasury activity, marketplace event, and future tokenized ecosystem process can be trusted, verified, reconciled, and defended.

You will establish the governance framework that enables Anime Universe to scale responsibly while maintaining transparency, accountability, and stakeholder confidence.

What You'll Own

Blockchain Assurance & Ledger Integrity

Develop and lead the assurance program for Anime Universe's blockchain ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying blockchain transaction accuracy and completeness
• Validating on-chain and off-chain reconciliation processes
• Reviewing transaction settlement integrity
• Confirming digital asset balances and movement records
• Testing financial reporting reliability of blockchain activity
• Assessing blockchain control effectiveness
• Monitoring ledger consistency and audit readiness

You will establish trust in the accuracy of our blockchain records.

Digital Asset Treasury & Financial Controls

Design and oversee control frameworks governing:

• Digital asset accounting
• Treasury management
• Wallet administration
• Custody procedures
• Reserve management
• Access controls
• Asset movement authorization
• Financial reconciliation processes

You will ensure assets are protected, accounted for, and independently verifiable.

Creator Revenue Assurance

Validate the integrity of creator compensation systems.

Review and test:

• Creator earnings calculations
• Revenue-sharing allocations
• Subscription revenue distributions
• Marketplace commissions
• Royalty calculations
• Settlement timing
• Payout accuracy

Your responsibility is ensuring creators receive exactly what they are entitled to receive.

Marketplace & Transaction Assurance

Perform independent reviews of:

• Marketplace transactions
• Digital commerce activity
• Gaming-related financial transactions
• Digital asset transfers
• Creator payouts
• Treasury operations
• Revenue recognition processes

Establish audit programs designed to detect:

• Financial misstatements
• Control failures
• Fraud indicators
• Operational risks
• Reconciliation discrepancies

Smart Contract Assurance Coordination

Partner with internal and external stakeholders responsible for:

• Smart contract audits
• Security reviews
• Penetration testing
• Code assurance assessments

Responsibilities include:

• Tracking findings and remediation
• Monitoring risk exposure
• Reviewing audit coverage
• Ensuring corrective actions are completed

You do not replace security auditors—you ensure their findings are acted upon.

Tokenomics Assurance (Future Ecosystem)

As Anime Universe expands its future tokenized creator economy, you will help establish assurance programs covering:

• Token issuance validation
• Token burn verification
• Treasury reserve monitoring
• Reward distribution accuracy
• Staking calculations
• Creator reward allocation
• Marketplace fee calculations
• Token economics governance

You will ensure future tokenized systems remain transparent, measurable, and auditable.

Internal Audit Leadership

Develop and execute risk-based audit plans covering:

• Blockchain operations
• Financial systems
• Marketplace activity
• Creator economy processes
• Treasury management
• Digital asset controls
• Governance programs
• Financial reporting controls

Drive continuous improvement of internal control maturity across the organization.

Board, Audit Committee & Executive Reporting

Provide independent reporting to:

• Audit Committee
• Board of Directors
• CEO
• CFO
• General Counsel

Prepare quarterly reporting covering:

• Blockchain integrity assessments
• Control effectiveness
• Audit findings
• Risk exposure
• Fraud indicators
• Governance maturity
• Remediation progress

You will serve as one of the organization's most trusted sources of objective operational and financial insight.

Ability to build audit functions from the ground up is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in one or more of:

• Accounting
• Finance
• Information Systems
• Computer Science
• Related field

Preferred certifications include:

• CPA
• CIA
• CISA
• CISSP
• Equivalent professional credentials

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in audit, assurance, internal controls, financial governance, or risk management.
• Experience auditing digital asset environments, blockchain systems, marketplaces, gaming ecosystems, fintech platforms, or creator economy businesses.
• Proven ability to design and implement control frameworks in high-growth organizations.
• Experience working with executive leadership, boards, regulators, or audit committees.
