Role summary

Sensori is recruiting an Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical delivery on projects. You will own electrical safety, quality, schedule, commercial performance, subcontractor coordination, and technical compliance from mobilisation through commissioning and handover. This is a site-facing leadership role working closely with project, engineering, commercial, and EHS teams.

Core responsibilities

  • Act as primary on-site contact for clients, subcontractors and stakeholders; build trusted relationships and manage expectations.
  • Liaise with clients on KPI development and provide weekly progress updates and performance reporting.
  • Supervise electrical contractor activities, track progress and manpower, and coordinate weekly subcontractor meetings with formal minutes.
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies, schedules and milestones with the Project Planner; maintain critical-path focus.
  • Manage and forecast project costs and budgets, administer change control, lead value-engineering initiatives, and report cost/schedule impacts to Project and Commercial Managers.
  • Work with the Commercial Team to ensure contracts, purchase orders, payment certifications and change orders follow Sensori procedures.
  • Prepare and manage electrical package scopes, objectives, timelines and commercial constraints; assist with tender evaluations and cost analysis.
  • Champion Sensori’s Safety, Quality and QEHS standards on site; ensure all electrical works comply with statutory H&S requirements, codes, and client specifications.
  • Plan and manage site QA, testing and validation activities in coordination with the project team and Sensori Safety Advisor.
  • Establish delivery criteria and performance metrics; monitor and report progress to ensure client KPIs are met.
  • Resource planning — plan and manage labour, materials, subcontractors and direct procurement; maintain labour histograms and procurement schedules.
  • Select, appoint and manage supply‑chain partners in coordination with the project team.
  • Review drawings, overseeing BIM coordination, management, technical submittals and design development to ensure specification compliance.
  • Hold responsibility for the quality of design deliverables, as‑built documentation and O&M manuals.
  • Develop and coordinate testing and commissioning plans, third‑party inspections and client validation; lead project close‑out activities including final accounts, punch lists, safety and QA files.
  • Ensure safe working in live systems through permitting, RAMS, client approvals and continuity planning.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of all Electrical systems, including generators, busbar systems, PDUs and related electrical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate LOTO requirements with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Identify and manage project risks through structured reviews; attend client, project management, engineering, planning and handover meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks necessary to deliver projects successfully.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Trade qualification and/or relevant third‑level electrical or engineering qualification.
  • 5–10 years’ project management experience delivering medium‑to‑large electrical installation projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical interfaces and major power/distribution systems.
  • Proven record in design‑and‑build environments and managing complex site installations through to handover.
  • Solid understanding of H&S legislation and best practice for live and construction environments.
  • Experience managing workforce relations and site labour issues.
  • Experience with cost forecasting, change control and contract administration.
  • Proficient with scheduling and reporting tools; excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and drive complex projects to completion.
