Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager (professional practice standards and guidance), you will manage the end‑to‑end delivery of sector standards, professional guidance and related outputs. You will ensure projects are well‑planned, governed and delivered to agreed scope, timelines, budget and quality standards, while coordinating authors, expert groups and internal stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of standards and guidance projects end‑to‑end, ensuring delivery to scope, timeline, budget and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk logs and governance documentation to support effective delivery.
  • Act as the primary coordinator for authors and contributors, ensuring clear briefs, agreed deliverables and timely progress.
  • Review draft materials and outputs to ensure alignment with agreed objectives, quality standards and intended audience needs.
  • Coordinate governance activity, including expert groups, boards and consultations, ensuring structured engagement and clear decision‑making.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and confidently follow up on actions, ensuring ownership, accountability and momentum across projects.

About You

You are a highly organised project delivery professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across complex, multi‑stakeholder environments. You are confident managing structured delivery, reviewing content and holding contributors to agreed outputs and timelines.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience managing projects in environments involving multiple stakeholders, contributors and governance structures.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep projects on track.
  • Experience working with authors, committees or expert groups, coordinating deliverables and maintaining engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear documentation and facilitate discussions.
  • Ability to review and challenge content constructively to ensure it meets agreed purpose, audience needs and quality standards.
  • Confident working in matrix environments, maintaining momentum and accountability across dispersed teams.
