Your Role: Driving Technical Excellence 🛠️
As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and scaling the robust engines that power our on-demand telemedicine platform. You will balance hands-on development with technical mentorship, driving a culture of high-quality code and collaborative engineering.
What you’ll do:
- Build Scalable Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust RESTful APIs using Python & Django.
- Optimize Performance: Profile and monitor backend systems using Datadog, Grafana, and CloudWatch to smash performance bottlenecks.
- Lead & Mentor: Act as a technical mentor for the team, leading pair programming sessions and championing backend best practices.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Design and deploy services on cloud infrastructure, primarily AWS.
- Ship Clean Code: Deliver highly maintainable, thoroughly tested, and beautifully structured code.
What You Bring to the Team 🧠
You are an experienced Python engineer who thrives on complex problem-solving and clean system design.
- The Core Stack: Several years of professional experience with Python & Django.
- Data Mastery: Strong SQL skills and deep experience working with Object-Relational Mapping (ORMs).
- Async & Concurrency: Proven experience managing background tasks and concurrency using Celery or similar technologies.
- Cloud Ecosystems: Solid experience with cloud providers—we run on AWS, but experience with GCP or Azure is highly welcome.
- Quality Mindset: Deep familiarity with modern testing frameworks to ensure code reliability and a passion for continuous learning.
