The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Process Operator to join our team at our Eltham Bridge St site.

As a Process Operator, you'll be working on the factory floor with your key responsibilities being:

  • Operating of machinery within a hygienic food manufacturing environment working in hot and cold environments.
  • Maintain high standards of Health and Safety and performing quality checks to ensure production meets our world class standards
  • On the go problem solving, defect handling and continuous improvement.
  • Accurate recording of production information
  • Regularly lift, carry and handle product – manual handling of up to 25kg is a routine part of this role
  • Flexible and open to upskilling and cross training in other areas.

This is a 3 months fixed term 5.30am to 5.30pm shift opportunity, working 12 hours per day on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.

Located on Bridge Street in Eltham, South Taranaki, this site has been operating since 1919 and is one of New Zealand’s oldest cheese producers. Using locally sourced milk, the site annually produces approximately 2,500 metric tonnes of award-winning speciality cheeses for domestic and international markets under well-known brands including Mainland and Kāpiti.

About You

You’re someone who takes ownership of your work, communicates well with your team, and brings energy and reliability to every shift. Whether you come from food manufacturing or another industry involving machinery or production, your attitude and work ethic matter just as much as your experience.
