About the Role

As Underwriting Development Manager, you’ll be focused on winning new business and growing our Plant & Equipment portfolio across NSW. You’ll partner closely with brokers to uncover opportunities, convert leads into profitable business, and position us as a go-to market player through responsive, solutions-focused underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage broker relationships with a focus on new business
• Quote and bind new business within underwriting guidelines and authority limits
• Achieve financial targets across premium growth, retention, and profitability
• Deliver broker training, product presentations, and thought leadership to reinforce our market positioning

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in insurance underwriting, ideally within plant and equipment or heavy motor markets
• Strong relationship management skills and a track record of building trusted broker partnerships
• Commercial acumen with demonstrated success in achieving growth and profitability targets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
