We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and modernize applications within a cloud-based environment. This role requires strong hands-on development expertise using the LAMP stack, with a focus on scalability and security. The ideal candidate brings deep technical experience, a problem-solving mindset, and a track record of contributing to complex, production-grade systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using JavaScript/Node.js, GraphQL, MySQL, and PHP.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services such as ECS/EKS, RDS, EC2, Lambda, etc.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven data solutions.
- Modernize and refactor legacy systems to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, product, and QA teams to deliver reliable, user-focused applications.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Ensure applications meet standards for security, reliability, and performance.
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of professional experience with full-stack web development.
- Adept ability to build web applications from the ground-up using JavaScript/Node.js, MySQL, and HTML/CSS.
- Experience using Git as a code repository.
- Background working on government or public sector systems.
- Experience with payment processing, financial systems, or billing platforms.
- Solid understanding of application security, scalability, and system reliability.
- Professional experience with AWS services, preferably ECS/EKS, EC2, RDS, etc.
Nice-to-Haves
- Professional exposure to PHP development.
- Experience with Docker or containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of government security or compliance frameworks.
- Prior experience mentoring developers or providing technical leadership.
