Provides technical and coordination support for 380 kV substation projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards, and overseeing design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning to achieve safe, on-time, and cost-effective project delivery.
Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in developing project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation for 380kV substation works.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor project progress, highlight deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
Design & Technical Support
- Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and vendor submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards (IEC, IEEE, SEC, etc.).
- Provide technical assistance during design, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Support the resolution of engineering issues and interface problems between civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
Construction Supervision
- Oversee installation of GIS, transformers, protection & control systems, HV equipment, and associated auxiliaries for the 380kV substation.
- Ensure adherence to construction methodologies, safety standards, and quality control requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and verify completed work against approved drawings and specifications.
Testing & Commissioning
- Support testing and commissioning activities of primary and secondary systems.
- Ensure system readiness for energization in line with project milestones.
- Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) with vendors and clients.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Support project manager in client meetings, progress reporting, and approvals
- Facilitate technical communication between internal and external parties
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Postgraduate or specialized training in Power Systems, Substation Engineering, or Project Management is an advantage.
Academic Qualification
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, SEC, and other international electrical standards.
- Knowledge of SCADA, RTU, and substation automation systems.
Specialization / Training
- 5–7 years of experience in power transmission projects, with at least 3–5 years in 380kV substation projects (design, construction, testing, or commissioning).
- 2 years’ experience in similar role.
