Transaction Monitoring & Compliance Specialist
A rapidly growing fintech company is seeking a Transaction Monitoring & Compliance Specialist to join its compliance team.
Responsibilities
- Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts involving cryptocurrency and stablecoin activity
- Conduct AML, sanctions, and financial crime investigations
- Analyze customer transaction activity and identify unusual or suspicious behavior
- Escalate potentially suspicious activity and support case management processes
- Utilize blockchain analytics tools to investigate wallet activity and transaction flows
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Product teams to strengthen monitoring controls
- Assist with ongoing enhancements to transaction monitoring rules, procedures, and risk frameworks
- Maintain thorough documentation of investigations and compliance decisions
Qualifications
- Approximately 3+ years of experience in Compliance, AML, Transaction Monitoring, Financial Crimes, or Risk Operations
- Must Have: experience working with cryptocurrency and stablecoin-related transactions
- Knowledge of AML/BSA regulations, sanctions compliance, and financial crime controls
- Experience conducting investigations and documenting case findings
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics and transaction monitoring tools is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a high-growth, fast-moving environment
