The organization is a boutique consultancy specializing in data and artificial intelligence. It focuses on delivering enterprise-grade data platforms, analytics, and machine learning solutions to mid-market and enterprise clients across sectors such as Private Equity, Financial Services, Healthcare, and Retail. The organization addresses challenges related to complex, real-world data by leveraging technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, and Microsoft tools to generate reliable and actionable insights.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Data Engineer will design and implement scalable and efficient data solutions that enable trustworthy data flow and analysis. This role is crucial in building modern data platforms and optimizing data pipelines, directly contributing to the organization’s ability to provide impactful data products to its clients.
3. Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and deploy data platforms including data lakehouses and warehouses
• Automate platform operations using tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, and CloudFormation
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestrate data jobs with Databricks notebooks and dbt
• Design and maintain data models, potentially using data virtualization tools like Cube
• Utilize serverless and managed cloud services to create scalable cloud-native data solutions
• Ensure data security and compliance with governance standards
• Build high-performance data pipelines and integrate with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, and Power BI
• Lead adoption of software development best practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
4. Requirements:
• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience in Data Engineering
• Advanced skills in Python and SQL; knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java is a plus
• Proven expertise in ETL/ELT implementation and data modeling for warehouses and lakehouses
• Familiarity with the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Linux system administration
• Proficiency in 2–3 major cloud and data platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, or Fabric
• Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary: 7,400 USD monthly (range may vary depending on experience)
