Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications supporting the client's institutional business platforms.
- Build and enhance applications utilizing COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and Syncsort.
- Develop and support COBOL Native Stored Procedures.
- Perform large-scale data reconciliation, transformation, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and Engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, estimation, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Ensure application quality through testing, defect resolution, and continuous improvement practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of Mainframe Application Development experience.
- Strong Financial Services industry experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of:
- COBOL
- CICS
- DB2
- VSAM
- JCL
- Syncsort
- Strong SQL programming skills.
- Experience with Control-M, Endevor, File-Aid, and SPUFI.
- Experience developing and supporting COBOL Native Stored Procedures.
- Proven experience performing large-scale data reconciliation and transformation validation.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect tracking, and QA processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
