Data Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

• Act as a people manager for a team of IT and data professionals, overseeing performance management, career development, and mentoring.

• Support the Deputy Program Manager role, assisting with overall contract execution, strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management for a government contract.

• Manage the accuracy of the CMDB while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures within enterprise processes.

• Analyze data and research issues using SQL and other query tools to resolve complex problems.

• Perform Configuration Item (CI) lifecycle management and define/document CI metrics.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in data analysis, data science, configuration management, or related IT programs.

• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role managing technical personnel and assisting with program/project management tasks.

• 5+ years of related experience in Configuration Management.

• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow, specifically with CMDB administration and integration.

• Demonstrated capability in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and usability of a ServiceNow CMDB.

• Experience configuring/integrating discovery tools and sensors with a CMDB to import data from authoritative sources while ensuring data integrity.
