About TallyTeller

TallyTeller is building a new category of software for financial performance management.

Most financial systems stop at reporting. TallyTeller is designed to help business owners, advisors, and finance leaders move from financial signals to decisions, commitments, accountability, and measurable business outcomes.

The platform has completed its core build and is entering pilot-stage validation with a clear long-term product vision. The platform is pre-revenue and preparing for its initial client launch, with a developed go-to-market strategy targeting SME business owners and their advisors.

The Platform

A functional pilot version of the platform has already been developed and is currently entering validation and commercialization stages. The platform currently includes:

  • Financial data integration (QBO and expanding)
  • KPI computation and financial signal generation
  • Target-based variance analysis
  • Decision Candidate workflow
  • Commitment and accountability tracking
  • Execution Memory
  • Owner Packet generation
  • Multi-company architecture with role-based access
  • Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, React, AWS architecture

The product is supported by extensive product specifications, workflow definitions, and a developed brand and market positioning.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Technical Co-Founder / Software Engineer who can help evolve the platform from pilot-stage software into a commercially scalable product.

This is not simply a coding role.

We are looking for someone who can think strategically about:

  • Product architecture
  • SaaS product development
  • User experience and workflow design
  • Technical leadership
  • Commercial productization
  • Scaling a software platform

Ideal Experience

• Strong Python development experience

• FastAPI or similar backend frameworks

• PostgreSQL and database architecture

• React or modern frontend frameworks

• AWS cloud infrastructure

• API integrations

• SaaS product development

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with accounting software ecosystems such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, or similar platforms
  • Financial software experience
  • SMB or advisor-focused SaaS products
  • Experience with AI integration, large language models, or AI-assisted workflow and decision-support systems

  • Strengthen the product architecture
  • Improve user adoption and workflow design
  • Guide future development priorities
  • Build a scalable commercial software platform
  • Potentially lead a future engineering team

Compensation

This is an equity-based opportunity. The equity stake offered will reflect the candidate's experience, expected contribution, commitment level, and long-term role in the company. Revenue-sharing structures may also be considered for the right candidate.
