Description:
The Local HR Officer is responsible for assisting the HRM department by ensuring the proper implementation of all HR policies & procedures and facilitating HR activities at country level.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage the onboarding process in terms of requesting assets through Jira, welcoming new joiners, compiling required documents, conducting company tours and creating an account on HRIS system while ensuring proper documentation for all signed documents.
- Liaise with the Learning & Development team on the onboarding process of new team members.
- Cooperate with the Talent Acquisition Manager on the recruitment activities at country level.
- Cooperate with the Learning & Development Manager on the learning activities at country level.
- Handle travel arrangements by processing visa applications, booking flights and accommodations, and managing per diem payments through Zahara System.
- Plan and oversee HR events, including Iftar, End year event, team members birthday and any othercelebrations that may occur.
- Plan several corporate social responsibility initiatives per year.
- Administer the Orange system by creating team member accounts and ensure a proper update continuously.
- Ensure on yearly basis the update of the Employee Handbook and all its related policies based on the local labor law.
- Monitor attendance and leave reports by tracking team members attendance, validating leave balances and ensuring accurate reporting for payroll processing.
- Ensure a continuous update of team members’ records and apply same on the local organizational chart.
- Handle regulatory requirements that would impact team members’ employment (where applicable).
- Oversee the offboarding process by submitting Jira requests for employee termination, retrieving company assets, collecting resignation letters.
- Handle phone calls and direct them.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings.
- Oversee office supplies, order equipment needed in timely manner and search for new suppliers.
- Greet visitors and provide them with general support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration or any other related field
- Up to 2 years of previous experience in the field is a plus
- Good knowledge of local labor laws and regulations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
