About the Role
Freight Business Development Manager – Sweden
Location: Sweden, either Gothenburg or Stockholm
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
The Freight BDM is critical for driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth in the Swedish market. Our ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of freight forwarding sales experience, a strong network of SME and MNC clients, and a hands-on, solution-driven mindset. You don’t have to tick every box to be our perfect candidate—our recruitment team is keen to speak to experienced freight professionals who are up to the challenge of shaping this new venture.
About the role
How you will contribute
• Proactively identify, target, and win new customers across SME and MNC segments.
• Manage and grow your Book of Business (BOB) in volume, revenue, and margin.
• Develop and execute a personal sales plan and call cycle.
• Sell across Air, Ocean, Land, Intermodal, and Value-Added Services.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through structured prospecting.
• Prepare and deliver tailored proposals focused on customer value.
• Negotiate and secure profitable contracts.
• Retain and develop assigned customer portfolio.
• Act as escalation point for customer issues and ensure resolution.
• Collaborate with Tender Management, Pricing, Product, and Operations.
• Support regional sales strategy and contribute to knowledge sharing.
What you will bring
Qualifications & Experience
• 5–8 years in freight forwarding or logistics sales.
• Proven success selling across multiple transport modes.
• Strong network of SME and MNC clients in Sweden.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
Skills
