The Equipment and Tool Shop sets the bar for innovation in the company by designing, building, deploying, and supporting in-house automated manufacturing cells.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical manufacturing equipment for the Production System, referencing process requirements and design guidelines to create robust machine designs, robotic end of arm tools, and innovative automation solutions.
- Define processes for the development of solutions and future demand, analyzing and creating business or technical concepts.
- Deploy state-of-the-art technologies including 3D additive manufacturing for prototyping designs when appropriate, ensuring manufacturability through active engagement with machine shop.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, drawings, and specifications in compliance with industry standards.
- Support manufacturing operations in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain 5S Best in Class organization and cleanliness standards in work area.
Your Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 1-3 years experience with 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Ability to create machine designs from process specifications and technical requirements.
- Strong capability to work comfortably in a team environment managing multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
- Passionate about pursuing emerging technologies in automation and manufacturing innovation.
Preferred:
- 3-5 years experience with SolidWorks and advanced CAD modeling techniques.
- Experience in automation design and manufacturing equipment development.
- 3D Printing/Prototyping experience with additive manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of safety standards for machine design and risk assessment procedures.
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization.
- Experience with technical documentation and compliance with industry standards.
- Knowledge on robot programming (UR, Fanuc, and/or TMRobots).
