Freelance Graphic Designer Needed – Direct Mail & Marketing Creatives
About Us: Mailguys is a company specializing in direct mail marketing solutions for businesses. We help companies generate leads and drive sales through effective direct mail campaigns, postcards, and integrated marketing strategies. We're looking for a talented Freelance Graphic Designer to support our business on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities
- Design engaging creatives for Reddit advertising and organic Reddit posts
- Create direct mail pieces, including postcards, flyers, and promotional mailers
- Design graphics for social media platforms (Reddit, Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.)
- Develop visual assets that align with Mailguys' brand and marketing goals
- Collaborate with our team to create high-converting marketing materials
- Adapt designs for different formats and audiences
Requirements
- Proven experience in graphic design and marketing creatives
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital and print design work
- Experience designing direct mail pieces is a plus
- Understanding of social media and Reddit marketing best practices
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, or similar design tools
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
Portfolio Expectations & Design Standards
Successful candidates should demonstrate experience creating marketing assets that balance strong visual appeal with direct-response performance.
When reviewing portfolios, we will prioritize designers who can:
- Create professional, conversion-focused imagery for local businesses.
- Effectively combine compelling headlines, clear calls-to-action, and strong visual hierarchy.
- Use authentic, high-quality imagery and graphics that build trust with the target audience
- Design front and back postcard layouts that complement each other without repeating the same information.
- Present information clearly while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic
- Adapt designs across multiple industries, including home services, healthcare, real estate, and local businesses
Preferred Design Approach
- Use real photography, professional stock imagery, or custom-designed graphics whenever possible
- AI-generated imagery may be used selectively but should not dominate the design or reduce authenticity
- Prioritize readability, branding consistency, and lead-generation performance
- Design with both print production requirements and marketing effectiveness in mind. Be unique and creative in your own ways, DO NOT copy/paste or use A.I for most of the work. We require everything to be editable, preferably on Canva.
