Velto Renewables (Velto), a subsidiary of La Caisse (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a System & Information Engineer to join its team in Madrid, Spain, and work closely with the Head of Asset Management and the rest of the AM Team

.

Velto Renewables operates a growing portfolio of photovoltaic assets that generate large volumes of operational and technical data. The System & Information Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that enables our Asset Management team to transform raw data into actionable insights for performance optimisation, predictive maintenance, and strategic decision-making, as well as leading the deployment and continuous improvement of the company's digital management too

1. Data Infrastructure & Pipeline Develo

Qualifications &

  • Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or a rel
  • ated field.3–5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, ideally within the renewable energy, utilities, or industrial
  • IoT sector.Strong proficiency in Python or similar programming
  • languages.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data storage or database te
  • chnologies.Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, o
  • r similar).Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redsh
  • ift, etc.).Familiarity with SCADA systems, time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, etc.), and IoT data streams is highly
  • desirable.Experience with API integrations and real-time data processing
