Localization Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Localization Engineer to ensure the quality, scalability, and efficiency of localized software products. In this role, you will work closely with global engineering, product, and QA teams to deliver high‑quality internationalized (i18n) solutions, develop automation frameworks, and enable localization‑friendly development practices. You will also contribute to advancing QA workflows through modern tooling and AI‑driven validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate localized software and collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions to ensure localization and internationalization quality
  • Enhance and support localization and QA tools to improve team productivity and workflow efficiency
  • Provide technical guidance on internationalization (i18n) best practices and standards
  • Drive localization readiness and scalability across development processes
  • Develop and implement AI‑based solutions for automated screenshot capture and linguistic validation
  • Partner with cross‑functional global teams to ensure consistent user experience across regions and languages

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in software testing, localization, or software engineering
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles
  • Proficiency in at least one high‑level programming language
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Hands‑on experience with localization workflows or internationalized systems
  • Solid understanding of i18n standards, Unicode, and character encoding
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux platforms
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
  • Experience collaborating with geographically distributed/global teams
  • Knowledge of NI software and hardware is an advantage
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Chinese, Korean, or Japanese
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
