Role Description This full-time, on-site Service Technician role is based in Greer, SC. The Service Technician will perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of industrial gearboxes and related mechanical power transmission equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites as needed. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical issues, disassembling and reassembling components, performing precision measurements, and documenting work performed in service reports. The role also involves supporting field service projects, collaborating with engineering and service teams, and ensuring all work meets company quality, safety, and technical standards. The Service Technician will regularly interact with customers to explain findings, provide service recommendations, and help ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong maintenance-focused skills, including Maintenance & Repair and general Maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical and gearbox-related issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Experience in Field Service, including working at customer locations, performing on-site inspections, and supporting installations or overhauls.
  • Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, set expectations, and represent the company professionally on-site.
  • Previous experience with industrial gearboxes, rotating equipment, or mechanical power transmission systems is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and measurement data; basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards; ability to work in industrial environments and lift components as required.
  • Technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in mechanical, industrial, or maintenance technology preferred.
