Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Project Manager role based in Oshawa, ON, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Project Manager will oversee residential construction and renovation projects from initiation through completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination. The role involves managing subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring site progress, and ensuring work meets quality, safety, and building code standards. The Project Manager will coordinate inspections, address site issues, and keep stakeholders informed through regular updates and documentation. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing drawings and specifications, tracking materials and logistics, managing change orders, and supporting continuous improvement in project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Project management skills, including Project Management and experience leading construction or renovation projects from planning through close-out.
  • Expediting capabilities, such as Expeditor experience and Expediting to move permits, materials, and approvals forward efficiently.
  • Operations and supply coordination skills, including Logistics Management for materials, equipment, and subcontractor scheduling.
  • Quality and compliance skills, including Inspection experience to ensure adherence to building codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and scopes of work.
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, trades, suppliers, and internal teams in a respectful, inclusive manner.
  • Experience in custom home building or residential renovations; familiarity with the Durham Region and surrounding areas is an asset.
  • Proficiency with project management software and standard office tools; comfort with digital documentation and reporting.
  • Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
