About the Role
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers while helping optimize and scale HR operations. This role combines hands-on HR execution with opportunities to improve systems, streamline processes, and leverage technology to drive efficiency across the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is operationally minded and energized by working in a fast-paced environment where they can build, improve, and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Employee Experience
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and offboarding
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and HR systems
- Coordinate background checks and employment verification processes
- Partner with payroll and benefits providers to support employee benefit programs and leave administration
- Ensure a seamless employee experience across all HR touchpoints
Process Improvement & HR Infrastructure
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that improve consistency and efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve HR workflows
- Help build scalable HR processes that support organizational growth
- Leverage technology and industry best practices to enhance operational effectiveness
HR Systems, Reporting & Analytics
- Own and optimize the HRIS platform, ensuring data integrity and user adoption
- Develop reports and dashboards that provide actionable workforce insights
- Support leadership reporting through accurate HR metrics and analysis
- Use data to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making
Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and multi-state employment regulations
- Conduct regular audits to ensure employee data accuracy and compliance
- Support employee relations matters, investigations, and policy interpretation
- Help ensure HR practices align with evolving employment laws and regulations
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience
- Experience supporting a high-growth, scaling, or fast-paced organization
- Proven success improving HR processes, systems, and operational workflows
- Hands-on experience with a major HRIS platform
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
- Experience creating HR dashboards, workforce reporting, and analytics
