TotalEnergies Renewables is looking for a Junior Accountant in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Purpose:
The purpose of Junior Accountant is managing financial records: ensure all financial transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan disbursements and cash flow statements, which are crucial for decision-making, preparing financial reports: accountants are responsible for preparing periodic financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. These reports are used to make important decisions about the bank’s financial operations, conducting audits.
Significant activities:
• Monitoring daily cash balances and executing payments.
• Loading and verifying of payment orders to the Client Bank.
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and treasury reports.
• Coordinating with banks regarding accounts, signatories, and online banking.
• Preparing cash flow forecasts and monitoring liquidity.
• Ensuring compliance with currency control regulations.
• Liaising with the TotalEnergies Treasury team.
• Ensuring compliance with corporate HSE policies in the office by participating in inspections, supporting corrective actions, and reporting any incidents, unsafe conditions, or near misses in line with internal procedures.
Main Interfaces (internal and external):
Internal
The incumbent will have regular contact with Finance Director, JV Accounting Manager, Chief Accountant, Fixed Assets Accountant, Cost Controllers, Procurement and Logistics team, Project development manager, Operations and Construction team, Managing Director, HSE, HQ Treasury team.
External
Internal and External Auditors, Banks, Contractors.
