About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Risk Manager to support a large-scale industrial transformation project in the Saarland region. This role offers the opportunity to work within a complex, multidisciplinary project environment and contribute to the successful delivery of a strategically important initiative.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with hands-on experience in risk management within major industrial, engineering, infrastructure, or capital investment projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and prioritize project risks based on probability and impact
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, controls, and action plans
• Monitor project risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare risk reports and dashboards for project leadership and key stakeholders
• Facilitate risk workshops and support risk reviews across project workstreams
• Escalate critical risks and ensure timely decision-making
• Drive accountability for risk mitigation measures and follow-up activities
• Maintain and continuously improve the project risk register
• Support project governance and reporting processes

Your Profile

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project risk management
• Proven experience in large-scale industrial, engineering, construction, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and project controls
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative risk analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive implementation of risk mitigation measures
• Experience working with risk management tools, databases, and reporting platforms
• Strong presentation and reporting skills, including PowerPoint
• Fluent German and professional English language skills are advantageous
