Job Purpose:
The Integration Engineer designs, develops, and manages enterprise integration solutions across the Bank using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and API Gateway within cloud-native Kubernetes environments. He / She ensures the implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance integration solutions while driving API lifecycle management and governance to guarantee consistency, reusability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
The Integration Engineer supports business-as-usual (BAU) activities and ensures stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s integration landscape.
Key Accountabilities:
- Designs and manages enterprise integration solutions to support business applications, channels, and core banking systems.
- Develops and maintains integration services, message flows, and reusable components to ensure scalability, efficiency, and standardization.
- Defines end-to-end integration architecture aligned with enterprise frameworks, best practices, and technology standards.
- Ensures effective implementation and management of messaging and integration frameworks across systems.
- Designs and governs APIs to enable secure and standardized system integration across internal and external platforms.
- Manages the full API lifecycle, including design, development, publishing, versioning, and retirement.
- Establishes and enforces API governance, security standards, and access controls to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Implements monitoring, logging, and observability practices for integration services and APIs.
- Ensures secure integration practices, including data protection, encryption, and secure communication protocols.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards within integration solutions.
- Provides production support for integration platforms and APIs, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Ensures high availability, reliability, and performance of integration services in line with defined SLAs and KPIs.
- Implements enhancements and continuous improvements to optimize system performance and stability.
- Manages deployment and operations of integration platforms in cloud-native environments, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- Collaborates with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate build and deployment processes.
- Monitors system performance and proactively identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in relevant technologies are an advantage.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise integration, preferably within the banking sector.
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms, API management, and cloud-native environments.
- Experience in core banking systems, implementation, or production support environments is preferred.
