We're looking for a Business Development Manager/Account Manager
Location: Kalgoorlie preferred | Perth considered with regular Goldfields travel
UON is growing, and we’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager / Account Manager to help expand our presence across the Goldfields.
This is a true all-rounder sales role, split between account management and new business hunting. You’ll manage and grow existing customer relationships while actively identifying, pursuing, and converting new opportunities across mining and remote operations.
You’ll be selling practical, high-impact power and water solutions, including off-grid power, renewable energy systems, dewatering, pumping, load banks, switchboards, and battery storage.
About the Role
Manage and grow existing accounts across the Goldfields mining sector.
Hunt, identify and win new business opportunities.
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers on site and in head office.
Develop and maintain a healthy, active sales pipeline.
Close high-value opportunities and drive strong conversion through consistent follow-up.
Work with internal teams to deliver strong bids, customer solutions, and commercial outcomes.
About You
You have experience working in the Goldfields and understand the region, key projects, and customer networks.
You’re a self-starter with a strong work ethic, proactive mindset, and no-excuses approach.
You have at least 3 years’ experience in the power and/or water solutions industry.
You have a strong track record in BDM, account management, or technical sales roles.
You’re commercially sharp, confident negotiating and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at multiple levels.
You thrive in a high-performing, competitive sales environment and take ownership of your results.
Location and Travel
Kalgoorlie is the preferred location for this role. Perth-based candidates will also be considered, with the expectation of travel into the Goldfields every 2–3 weeks. When back in Perth, you’ll maximise your time by meeting clients at head office and strengthening commercial relationships.
Why UON?
You’ll join a WA-grown business delivering practical energy and water solutions for the resources sector, backed by in-house design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance capability from our Malaga facility.
If you know the Goldfields, love building relationships, enjoy the chase and can turn opportunity into long-term commercial value, we’d love to hear from you.
