Forward Deployed Engineer

What you’ll do

As an Forward Deployed Engineer, you sit right between our clients and our product team. Fundamentally, you are concerned with implementing 'intelligent automation' (using (Gen)AI, ML, RPA, ...) within existing client processes to help them solve their problems better. That requires you to thoroughly understand client processes and their problems. But it also means you make sure that what we develop actually delivers value in practice. From connecting and configuring building blocks from our product, setting up new integrations and prototyping ideas to fine-tuning workflows — you bring our digital employees to life.

Your days might look like this:

• Translate business processes & needs into technical product implementation
• Configure, test and deploy (updates to) digital employees that solve problems and deliver value for our clients
• Build prototypes to test novel innovations and ideas that aim to solve client problems
• Research, code and set up integrations between our product and whatever external system. For example, communication tools like Discord, HubSpot, or data management tools like SharePoint
• Troubleshoot issues and continuously improve existing setups
• Eat your own poisson: continuously look to standardize & automate technical implementation processes so we do our own work smarter, every day

Who you are

You like to understand how things work and you don’t mind breaking and rebuilding until they do. You enjoy talking to clients just as much as you enjoy coding or testing a new setup. You learn fast and you are curious by nature.

• You have a technical background such as Computer Science, AI, Econometrics or Data
• You know how to work with APIs, databases and automation tools
• You feel comfortable with Python or JavaScript
• You can prototype fast and explain what you built in simple words
• Experience with cloud environments like Azure, AWS or GCP is a nice bonus
• You speak English fluently
• Based in the Netherlands
