Job Description: Controller (Remote)
Location: Remote (USA)
Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 (dependent on experience) + benefits
We are seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in NetSuite to join a leading payment processing company. This is a remote position available to candidates based in the USA. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a CPA certification. This role requires both hands-on work and the ability to manage a small team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Utilize NetSuite for financial management and reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, particularly in money transmission.
Qualifications
- CPA certification required.
- 8-10 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably within the payment processing, SaaS, or fintech industries.
- Proven experience with NetSuite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Familiarity with money transmission regulations is a plus, but not mandatory.
