Position Summary
The Assistant Manager/ Manager will be responsible for managing valuation and financial advisory engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients. The role involves leading engagement teams, developing and reviewing complex financial models, conducting business valuation, preparing high-quality client deliverables, and supporting senior management in business development initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong technical valuation expertise with project management, client relationship management, and team leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Valuation & Financial Analysis
- Prepare and review complex financial models and valuation analyses using appropriate valuation methodologies, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Market Multiples, Comparable Transactions, and other accepted valuation approaches
- Assess the reasonableness of assumptions, methodologies, forecasts, sensitivities, and valuation outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Perform business valuations, intangible asset valuations, purchase price allocations, impairment assessments, and other valuation-related assignments
- Analyze historical financial statements, operational data, and market information to identify key value drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Conduct financial model reviews and stress-testing exercises to evaluate model integrity and forecast reliability
- Conduct detailed research on companies, industries, market trends, and economic conditions to support valuation conclusions and strategic recommendations
- Evaluate industry dynamics, competitive positioning, and market developments affecting client businesses
- Translate complex financial analyses into clear, practical, and decision-oriented insights for clients and stakeholders
- Prepare high-quality valuation reports, financial advisory reports, and executive presentations
- Draft and present findings to senior management and clients, highlighting key financial trends, valuation drivers, risks, and strategic opportunities
- Lead and manage multiple valuation and advisory engagements simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution
- Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives efficiently
- Ensure engagement files comply with the firm's internal quality, risk management, and documentation policies
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and subject matter specialists to deliver integrated advisory solutions
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members through coaching, training, and on-the-job guidance
- Review work performed by juniors, providing constructive feedback and ensuring technical accuracy
- Delegate tasks effectively to maximize team productivity and engagement
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
- Stakeholder & Business Development Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and engagement teams
- Liaise with Directors, Partners, and senior management on engagement execution, client matters, and project strategy
- Assist in proposal preparation, client pursuits, and business development initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, or equivalent are preferred
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in valuation, corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory, preferably within a Big 4 or leading consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling
- Experience managing teams and client-facing engagements
