Experience / Product design: deciding the purpose, content, structure, behavior, and interaction logic of each screen before anyone styles it.

This role defines, from first principles, the complete experience of every screen in the Aura Money mobile app: what each screen is for, what the user sees and in what priority, what they can do, how it behaves, and how depth is revealed as someone moves from a glance to real scrutiny.

There is no programming whatsoever.

Core responsibilities:

  • Set the intention of each screen against Aura Money’s philosophy and defend it
  • Define the content and information hierarchy per screen: what appears, what’s primary, what lives one tap deeper
  • Specify the screen’s structure at a wireframe level (blocks and relationships, no styling)
  • Specify every state: first-run / empty, loading, populated, error, and the edge cases
  • Specify the intent and logic of every interaction: what a tap, swipe, or scroll does and what it’s meant to communicate
  • Define flows and navigation across the app
  • Argue, defend, and revise all of it in frequent back-and-forth with the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field of study
  • 2+ years' of experience in mobile app design, preferably finance/fintech related
  • Proficient in mobile visual design and wireframing tools
  • Effective communication and capacity for arguing, we are mission-driven and have very high standards for the experience we plan to create together
