Member Services & Events Executive

- Fixed Term Contract to 18/06/2027
- Work Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
- Standard business hours, with occasional after-hours work for events or quarterly committee meetings. No weekend work required
About The Role
We’re seeking a proactive and customer-focused Member Services & Events Executive to help deliver an exceptional member experience. Based in our modern CBD office, this role reports to the State Manager and is responsible for planning and delivering a diverse range of events and professional development activities, while acting as a key local contact for members. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a hospitality or events background looking to transition into a corporate environment, where strong service delivery and relationship-building skills are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and delivering a portfolio of events, including conferences, seminars, webinars, workshops, and networking functions
- Management and ongoing oversight of member groups (Divisional Council, Committees and Discussion Groups)
- Managing end-to-end event logistics (both in-person and virtual), ensuring a seamless experience for attendees
- Promoting membership, events, and services to drive engagement and participation
- Managing event budgets, tracking spend, and supporting revenue targets while maintaining compliance with financial processes
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with members, volunteers, and key stakeholders
- Supporting member communications, including newsletters, event promotions, and updates
- Acting as a key contact for member enquiries and feedback
- Providing administrative and operational support to the local office
About You
You’re a highly organised and personable professional who enjoys delivering high-quality experiences and building strong relationships.
You bring:
- Proven experience coordinating end-to-end events (in-person and/or virtual)
- A strong customer or member-focused mindset (hospitality experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with budgets, invoicing, and expense tracking
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Confidence using MS Office and CRM systems
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and a passion for service excellence
