Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Part-Time IT Specialist to support our company's technology infrastructure and provide day-to-day technical assistance to employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network operations, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our technology environment
Key Responsibilities
· Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
· Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.
· Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access controls.
· Monitor and maintain company networks, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi systems.
· Assist with software deployments, updates, patches, and system upgrades.
· Support cloud-based applications and services such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other business platforms.
· Perform routine data backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures.
· Maintain IT inventory and documentation of hardware, software, and licenses.
· Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity policies and best practices.
· Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when necessary.
· Recommend technology improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Required Qualifications
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of IT support experience.
· Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
· Experience with networking fundamentals, including routers, switches, VPNs, and wireless networks.
· Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and cloud-based technologies.
· Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and endpoint protection.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and customer service abilities.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with help desk ticketing systems.
· Knowledge of Active Directory and user management.
· Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
· Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
