I'm partnering with Nutanix on a highly specialized contract opportunity for a NIC Device Driver Test Engineer to support a strategic hardware compatibility initiative.

✅ Linux kernel and networking stack expertise (netdev, RSS, MSI-X, Ethtool, etc.)
✅ Strong debugging, triage, and patch analysis skills
✅ Python and/or Bash scripting for automation
✅ Experience with performance, stress, and compatibility testing in enterprise environments
What you'll be doing:
• Building and enhancing NIC driver test coverage
• Validating compatibility across Linux kernel versions
• Investigating networking issues under load
• Testing enterprise-scale reliability, performance, and stability
• Working closely with kernel, networking, and platform engineering teams
📍 Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
⏱️ Contract: Initial 4–6 weeks with strong potential for extension
🎯 Ideal Experience: 7–10 years
