Role Description The Fitness Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Spring, TX. The Fitness Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the fitness floor, including supervising personal trainers and group exercise instructors, ensuring high levels of member engagement, and maintaining a clean, safe training environment. This role involves scheduling and coordinating group training and group exercise programs, supporting personal training sales efforts, and monitoring performance metrics to meet club and department goals. The Fitness Manager collaborates with club leadership to develop and implement fitness programs, events, and challenges that drive member retention and satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include coaching and developing team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service to all members and guests.

Qualifications

  • Background in the fitness industry with knowledge of health club operations and member experience best practices.
  • Skills in personal training and exercise physiology to support program design, member assessments, and trainer development.
  • Experience with group exercise and group training, including scheduling, class programming, and instructor support.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and people management abilities, including coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse member populations.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle scheduling, reporting, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current nationally recognized fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA) and CPR/AED certification, or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in a fitness or wellness setting is strongly preferred; experience in sales or revenue generation is a plus.
