About the Role

The Strategy & Operations Advisor will play a crucial role in both client-facing consulting and internal operational strategy. This role involves guiding small businesses in making strategic decisions, iterating on internal processes, and ensuring smooth client interactions. The ideal candidate will have a data-driven background (finance, business intelligence, data science, consulting etc.), strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.

Mission:

Own the recurring client relationship, make the data trustworthy and legible, advise the owner on pricing and adjacent business questions, and execute the process in the existing tooling. You will be the first person the founder delegates client relationships to, so you will have a chance to build out the whole client service team.

The role in one sentence:

Help small businesses make big decisions as a trusted advisor and figure out patterns across clients

Responsibilities

  • Shadow the founder’s client calls for the first 1–2 months, then transition to being the primary client contact.
  • Identify patterns from real client conversations and translate them into product improvement ideas
  • Develop and write our client-service playbook
  • Eventually, hire and lead client service team

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in data-driven business analysis
  • Experience advising external clients or internal stakeholders
  • Advanced English (comfort debating business decisions with US-based clients)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience in management consulting, business strategy, data science, or financial consulting.
  • Familiarity with pricing analysis, business analytics, or operational strategy.
  • Previous experience in startups or small business environments.
  • Interest or experience with AI tools or technology to improve operational processes.

  • Not solely an operational manager; while you will improve processes, your primary responsibility is advising clients.

Benefits & Working Conditions

  • Salary: Up to $3,000 to 5,000/month total compensation paid in USD.
  • Remote: 100% remote
  • Contractor: The role is structured as a contractor engagement.
  • PTO: 10 days paid + US holidays + 4 local holidays.
  • Work hours: Flexible, but must overlap with US business hours (10 AM–3 PM ET) for client calls
