Position Overview

We're seeking a motivated Sales Executive to identify, engage, and win new shipper relationships. This individual will own the sales process from prospecting through close, helping customers understand how Straightline can simplify their transportation operations.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and working in a fast-paced environment where results matter.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and prospect potential shipper customers through outbound sales efforts, referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools and structured sales processes.
  • Conduct in-person (f2f) meetings, virtual meetings, product demonstrations, and transportation solution presentations.
  • Understand customer transportation needs and develop customized freight solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and service agreements, and close new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, customer success, and leadership teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and retention.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline reporting.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape product and service improvements.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales objectives.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in B2B sales, business development, account management, or transportation sales.
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying opportunities, managing pipelines, and closing business.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining highly accountable.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
  • Logistics, transportation, supply chain, freight brokerage, or freight technology experience is highly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to solve problems and contribute beyond a traditional sales role.

Compensation
