We’re looking for a Senior Mining Engineer to join our team at Black Cat Syndicate.
With operations across Western Australia and more growth ahead, this is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with site teams and having a genuine impact on how underground planning is done.
Based in Kalgoorlie (FIFO from Perth or residential), You’ll take ownership of mid- to long-term planning, working alongside operations, geology and geotechnical teams to ensure plans are practical, safe and achievable.
What you’ll be doing:
- Mine design, stope optimisation and planning
- Working closely with site teams to align plans with what’s happening underground
- Supporting capital projects and cost work
- Improving planning processes as we grow
- Mentoring junior engineers
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- Experience in underground mining (gold preferred)
- Solid capability in mine planning and design
- Exposure to capital projects and cost estimation
- Working knowledge of Deswik
- Comfortable working across teams and communicating with stakeholders
- WA Driver’s Licence
