Content Lead

Sollo

Amsterdam Area

Description

Hey human!

If you love creating content that people actually stop and watch, read, and act on, and you want your work to have meaning at a very early stage (but funded) company, then this could be for you.

About Sollo

Our mission is simple: "Sollo exists to allow anyone to earn f**k you money, independently."

Sollo is a lead generation CRM for Solopreneurs. It's built for solopreneurs, fractional executives, solo consultants, and the 62M+ independent professionals who are brilliant at their craft and undertrained at selling it. We're out to make a global impact by delivering a tool that streamlines their entire customer acquisition and retention needs.

We launched a closed beta in March 2026 and already have paying customers across 15 different countries, plus over 650 people on the waitlist. Where most tools do one thing, Sollo combines five into one operating system: an AI sales agent, built-in prospecting with enrichment, a unified multi-channel inbox (email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp), pipeline management, and offer-based ICP workflows. No competitor in our segment puts all of that in one place.

We're a small but fast moving team. Content isn't a side activity for us, it's our primary growth engine. The "Going Solo" podcast [in development] sits at the centre of a content waterfall that feeds LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Substack and the newsletter, and every piece drives to one action: create a Sollo account. You'd be one of the first in the door, working directly with the founder, and you'd own the machine that makes that happen.

The role

This is a founding content role: broad ownership, high autonomy, and a direct line from your work to customers signing up. You'll take our hero content, primarily the podcast, and engineer it into a steady stream of high-performing content across every channel. You'll edit the clips yourself, write social posts and emails, and obsess over what actually drives sign-ups, not just views.

You're equal parts editor, writer, and growth marketer. You think in systems, queues, templates, batches, not one-off posts. And you measure your work by leads created, not content shipped.

You'll be handed problems, audiences, and trust to autonomously get the job done.

What you'll do

  • Run the content waterfall. Take each podcast episode and engineer it into 10 to 20 assets: short-form video for YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, plus carousels, quote cards and thumbnails.
  • Edit video yourself. Cut, caption, and polish short-form clips end to end (CapCut / Premiere / Descript), with a strong eye for hooks, pacing and retention.
  • Write, really well. Draft and ship LinkedIn posts, Substack pieces and the newsletter in the founder's voice, with copy that earns attention and pulls people to a free account.
  • Own distribution. Manage the posting calendar and the 60-day content queue across every channel, and keep the machine running consistently.
  • Drive leads, not just reach. Track what converts, double down on it, and treat every sign-up as a data point. Your north star is free accounts created from content.
  • Use AI tools properly. We expect you to be excellent at building with AI content tools (scripting, editing, repurposing, ideation) and to get genuine leverage from them.

What we're looking for

  • Around 2 to 5 years creating content that performed, ideally some of it for a brand, startup, creator, or agency.
  • A genuine hybrid. You can edit a sharp short-form video and write a post or email people actually finish.
  • A portfolio of short-form video and written content that has driven real engagement, and ideally real sign-ups or sales.
  • Fluent with AI content tooling, you use it daily and get genuine leverage from it.
  • Systems-minded, you build repeatable processes and queues, and consistency comes naturally to you.
  • Growth instinct, you care about the metric under the content (followers, list growth, free accounts created), not vanity numbers.
  • High attention to detail in the things audiences feel: the hook, the caption, the cut, the subject line.
  • Thrive in the ambiguity and pace of an early-stage startup, you want ownership, not a spec.
  • Based in or able to work from Amsterdam (in-person / hybrid).

Bonus points

  • You've built your own audience, newsletter, or channel, you've lived the game you'd be playing for us.
  • You've been a solopreneur, freelancer, or creator yourself, you understand who we serve.
  • You have a design skill set (Canva, basic motion graphics), you can take something from idea to a polished asset without waiting on anyone.
  • You have podcast production experience.

Why join

  • Genuine founding-team ownership, your fingerprints on the brand and the growth engine.
  • A chance to get involved almost at inception. Your impact here could be huge.
  • You'll work directly with a founder who has started and sold a business before, so you're building alongside someone who has done it.
  • Your work will reach real, paying users from day one in a clear, validated market.
  • Competitive salary plus meaningful equity in a company that started generating revenue before the product was released.

How to apply

  • Apply directly here, and also reach out to Michael Lovegrove letting him know you have applied.
  • It is strongly advised to include a short video introducing yourself and telling us why you'd be great in this role. For this role especially, that video is the audition, and the fastest way to stand out.
  • Include links to your best work: clips you've edited and posts or newsletters you've written.
