Role Description As a Technical Co-founder at AlterCV, you will own the end-to-end technical vision, architecture, and implementation of the core product and supporting systems. You will design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and services, with a focus on fast, reliable parsing, scoring, and keyword-matching features. You will collaborate closely with the founding team on product strategy, experimenting rapidly, shipping MVPs, and iterating based on user feedback and data. Day-to-day, you will write production-grade code, review pull requests, manage deployments, monitor performance, and ensure security and privacy-by-design. This is a full-time, remote role with significant equity and direct impact on product direction and company growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret user behavior, product metrics, and technical performance, and to guide data-informed product and engineering decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate asynchronously in a remote environment.
  • Sales-related aptitude, such as comfort joining founder-led sales calls, demoing the product, and gathering feedback from early customers to inform the roadmap.
  • Marketing awareness, including understanding of growth loops, positioning, and how product decisions impact acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Research skills to evaluate technologies, ATS integrations, privacy and security best practices, and evolving hiring trends to maintain product relevance.
  • Proven full-stack engineering experience (e.g., modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure) and comfort owning production systems.
  • Background in early-stage startups or founding roles, with a bias toward action, experimentation, and lean execution.
  • Commitment to privacy, security, and ethical handling of user data; familiarity with relevant regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, work autonomously, and take shared responsibility for product, culture, and long-term company direction.
