About the role
Reporting into the Compliance Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to support the effective delivery of the compliance framework and provide trusted compliance guidance on business initiatives and regulatory obligations. This opportunity offers the successful candidate a genuine opportunity to partner business-wide with a specific focus on projects impacting our investment and operation teams.
Note: We have x2 long-term contracts (fixed) available.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery and ongoing enhancement of the compliance framework
- Providing practical compliance advice and insights across business-as-usual activities, projects and strategic initiatives
- Supporting the identification, assessment and implementation of regulatory change requirements
- Conducting compliance assessments, incident investigations and breach reviews in line with internal policies and regulatory obligations
- Delivering compliance assurance reviews in accordance with the three lines model
- Assisting with Privacy Impact Assessments to identify and manage privacy risks
- Monitoring and tracking remediation actions to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate compliance records and documentation to support reporting, governance and audit requirements
- Building strong relationships across the business to promote a positive risk and compliance culture
- Participating in governance forums, working groups and cross-functional initiatives by providing compliance advice and insights
What we're looking for
You are an experienced compliance professional with strong knowledge of the superannuation and broader financial services regulatory environment. You possess strong communication skills and enjoy partnering with stakeholders, providing practical advice and helping the business navigate regulatory obligations effectively.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a compliance role within superannuation and/or financial services
- Strong knowledge of APRA and ASIC regulatory requirements, the SIS Act, compliance frameworks and privacy obligations
- Experience conducting compliance assessments, investigations, assurance activities and remediation oversight
- The ability to interpret legislative requirements, trust deeds and regulatory obligations, and assess business impacts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical advice
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience contributing to cross-functional projects or business change initiatives
- RG146 accreditation (desirable)
