About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst to support the bedding-in and optimisation of our new HRIS, delivering system improvements across the full employee lifecycle. Working within the HR Systems team, this role plays a critical part in ensuring our people systems are stable, trusted, and continuously improving, while supporting managers and teams across the University.

You will partner closely with People & Culture stakeholders, ITS, and external vendors to analyse requirements, improve processes, support upgrades and testing, and translate business needs into effective system solutions. This is a hands-on role combining systems expertise, analytical thinking, and strong relationship management.

What you'll be doing

  • You will contribute across the full HR systems lifecycle, including:
  • Supporting HRIS upgrades, testing, releases, and data integrity
  • Analysing and documenting HR processes and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Partnering with stakeholders to clarify requirements and design practical solutions
  • Supporting UAT, reporting, and system configuration
  • Working with vendors and internal teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose

What we're looking for

You will bring:

  • A minimum of three years' experience working with HR systems across the full employee lifecycle
  • A strong understanding of HR processes, with experience in process design and documentation
  • At least three years' experience working in large, complex database systems, including installing, testing, and releasing upgrades
  • The ability to think creatively, solve problems, and adapt solutions to a complex environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse workforce
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent experience, and exposure to business analysis or systems implementation work, will be highly regarded.
