Role Description
One or two fully funded PhD positions are available at Clemson University in the area of AI-enabled wireless sensing, signal processing, and cyber-physical systems.
The student will conduct research at the intersection of wireless communications, machine learning, and intelligent sensing systems. Current research topics include:
• Wi-Fi and RF sensing
• Radar sensing and perception
• AI/ML for wireless systems
• Human-centered sensing and healthcare applications
• Cyber-physical systems (CPS)
• Edge AI and intelligent IoT systems
• Privacy-aware and trustworthy AI for sensing applications
The PhD student will design and develop novel algorithms, conduct experimental studies, build sensing prototypes, analyze real-world datasets, and publish results in leading conferences and journals. Opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaboration across wireless networking, machine learning, signal processing, healthcare, and intelligent infrastructure applications.
Students will receive full financial support through research assistantships and will work closely with the faculty advisor and research team.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Robotics, or related fields.
