Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive, remote initial assessments and follow-up sessions for patients presenting with complex lumbar spine and cervical pain, including radiculopathy and non-specific pain.
- Utilize advanced clinical reasoning to differentiate between various pain sources (e.g., nerve root compression, peripheral nerve entrapment, referred pain).
- Develop, implement, and monitor highly personalized, evidence-based treatment programs tailored for online delivery (e.g., specific exercises, movement retraining, self-management strategies, ergonomic advice).
- Employ effective virtual communication techniques to ensure accurate assessment, demonstration of exercises, and maintenance of strong therapeutic rapport.
- Educate patients on their condition, prognosis, and self-management strategies to promote long-term recovery and independence.
- Recognize and promptly refer patients presenting with "red flag" symptoms
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience post-graduation, with significant focus on musculoskeletal physiotherapy, particularly spine and cervical conditions.
- Full and current registration/licensure to practice as a Physiotherapist.
- Demonstrated proficiency in remote or telehealth service delivery is highly desirable.
- Strong expertise in spinal assessment techniques, including neurodynamic testing, segmental mobility assessment, and myotomal/dermatomal testing.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction and professional documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage a dedicated caseload, and maintain professional boundaries in an online setting.
