With operations spanning major infrastructure, transport, defence, utilities, road maintenance, local government and civil construction, this organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects while investing heavily in its people, systems and long-term growth.

Due to continued success and a healthy pipeline of secured and upcoming work, an opportunity now exists for a Civil Estimator to join their Queensland business based in Brisbane.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Civil Estimator or a Project Engineer looking to transition from site-based delivery into a long-term estimating career.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of competitive tenders across a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects throughout Queensland.

Working alongside an experienced estimating team, you will receive ongoing mentoring and professional development while contributing to tenders valued ~$20m - $60m for projects across defence, transport, local government and civil infrastructure sectors with some mega projects to fall into the portfolio also.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing tenders from initial review through to final submission
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation
• Developing construction methodologies and staging plans
• Preparing detailed first-principles estimates and cost models
• Coordinating subcontractor and supplier pricing packages
• Developing construction programs using MS Project or similar software
• Supporting bid strategy development and post-tender reviews

Skills & Experience Required

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in either a site-based or estimating capacity
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery
• Exposure to first-principles estimating and cost planning
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prepare construction programs and tender documentation
• Experience using estimating software will be highly regarded
