Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Doctor role based in Atlanta, GA. The physician will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care, including same-day sick visits, chronic disease management, preventive exams, and follow-up care for a diverse patient population. Daily responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing evidence-based treatment plans, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals when needed. The role also involves documenting encounters in the electronic medical record, collaborating with nurses and support staff, and maintaining clear communication with patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care. The Medical Doctor is expected to adhere to clinical protocols, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient clinic environment.

Qualifications

  • Current MD or DO degree from an accredited institution, with completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain), with current DEA registration.
  • Clinical proficiency in primary and urgent care, including evaluation and management of acute illnesses, minor injuries, chronic conditions, and preventive care.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret common lab tests, imaging results, and other diagnostic studies.
  • Excellent patient communication and counseling skills, with a focus on patient education, shared decision-making, and culturally sensitive care.
  • Comfort working with electronic medical records and basic digital tools for documentation, ordering, and e-prescribing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based medicine, continuous learning, and participation in quality and safety initiatives.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in a relevant specialty; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Experience in an urgent care, outpatient, or community clinic setting is beneficial, as is comfort caring for patients across the lifespan.
