Join Our Team in Mozambique - TRS Trainee Workshop/Maintenance Technician

We are seeking motivated Mozambican graduates to join our Tubular Running Services team. This role offers structured training, hands-on exposure, and competency development to build you into a fully qualified Technician in the oil and gas industry.

Overall Purpose of the Job

Work under direct supervision within the Workshop assisting with the maintenance, repair and movement of equipment. Undertake the preparation of equipment to Company standards in a safe manner for use within an operational environment.

Key Activities And Accountabilities

  • Under direct supervision, assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment in line with work plans to the required Company quality and certification standards
  • Assist with the rigging up, building and rigging down of equipment as required
  • Accurately complete required documentation for review by foreman/supervisor in line with company’s policies and procedures
  • Report incidents and non-conformances in line with the appropriate procedures and deadlines; seeks guidance on correct reporting methods where necessary
  • Participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status/tasks, mobilisation/demobilisation updates etc
  • Carry out daily housekeeping of workplace and tools to ensure a clean working environment
  • 7. Use Stop Work Authority and participate in Positive Intervention Programme
  • 8. Liaise with Supervisor and team members, when required, to ensure all aspects of the schedule of work are discussed with the relevant parties to ensure effective communication to achieve safe completion of maintaining and the repairing of equipment for task completion

Job Knowledge And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred
  • Basic knowledge of oil and gas field operations is an advantage
  • Willingness to work offshore/onshore
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Able to work, communicate and interact with different cultural dynamics
