Tax Services
- Provide high quality individual, trust, estate, gift, foundation, and business tax compliance services as well as estate planning advisory services
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies in alignment with client goals and objectives, including coordinating with advisors to integrate tax considerations into financial plans and investment strategies
- Review individual, trust, estate, gift, business entity, and foundation returns
- Handle Federal and State tax notices and audits
- Review and analyze estate planning related legal documents
- Research Federal, State and International tax laws, prepare tax memorandums on technical topics, and develop tax savings strategies
- Be proactive and stay current on new tax legislation and tax reform
Business Development
- Manage all aspects of client accounts with respect to tax, fostering client relationships, overseeing processes, and answering questions
- Serve as a subject matter expert, resource, and point of contact for clients’ broader advisory team, including wealth advisors, financial planners, and other stakeholders
- Conduct internal business development and marketing, including networking, public speaking and authoring income tax planning and Trust and Estate related articles
- Provide internal training and guidance on tax-related topics
- Manage other members of the group including monitoring their workload and training and assisting them
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university, JD, or MS in Tax required
- Active CPA, EA or state bar license required (eligible to be listed on POAs is required)
- 10+ year’s progressive experience in public accounting required
- Extensive experience in Tax Advisory and Gift/Estate/Trust planning and compliance for sophisticated high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families
- Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Experience with reviewing individual, fiduciary, gift tax returns required, partnership and S corporation preferred
- Preferred experience with CCH Axcess Tax & Bloomberg Income Tax Planner (Formerly BNA)
- Experience with research software and memo writing required
- Must be able and willing to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
